Everyone wants to be beautiful and attractive, but the beauty industry would have you believing that their expensive products are absolutely vital to looking good. It makes sense, it's how they make their money, but the truth is that you don't have to spend a fortune to look great. There are all kinds of great, natural beauty tips using inexpensive ingredients that you probably have in your home.
1. Saltwater can help reduce swelling and give your face a fresher look.
Just dissolve some salt in water (it should be highly concentrated), soak a towel in the solution, and apply it to your face for 10 minutes.
2. Improve the appearance of your lips with cosmetic oil and a soft toothbrush.
Apply a layer of any cosmetic oil - peach, almond, coconut, or even just regular lip balm. Then, gently rub it into your lips using a soft toothbrush for about a minute.
3. Olive oil works wonders on skin.
Giving your skin a regular massage with olive oil gives it a clean, soft, smooth look. To get best results, steam your face first, then massage the oil into your face for about seven minutes. Repeat every 4-5 days.
4. Use eye drops to reduce facial inflammation.
Eye drops can help fight pimples. Simply soak a cotton pad in redness-reducing eye drops and then pop it into the freezer for about 5 minutes. Remove and gently press pad to the inflamed area/pimple and watch it start to disappear.
5. Honey also fights acne and inflammation.
If you need to get rid of a pimple fast, apply some honey on it and leave it for 15 minutes before washing off with warm water. This helps dramatically reduce the size of the pimple and makes it a lot more manageable to cover up.
6. Homemade makeup remover.
Mix clean water and olive oil in a bottle, using 3:1 ratio of water to oil. Shake thoroughly to disperse the oil into the water and then apply to a pad to remove makeup.

7. Use baking soda to get rid of ingrown hairs.
Mix up one teaspoon of baking soda, one teaspoon of ground oatmeal, and one tablespoon of water. Stir to create a thick paste and apply to the skin. Let it sit for five minutes before rinsing with hot water.
8. Baking soda also helps reduce bags and dark circles under your eyes.
Add a teaspoon of baking soda to a glass of hot water or tea. Combine well and soak a cotton pad in the mixture and apply to the area under your eyes. Wait 10-15 minutes, then wash it off and apply moisturizer. Repeat daily and you'll see results soon.
9. Get your hair looking shiny with a banana mask.
Combine one banana, one tablespoon honey, one egg, and half a cup of dark beer in a small bowl and stir until smooth. Apply this to your hair for a couple of hours and then rinse out with warm water. Repeat weekly and you'll see a big difference in no time.
10. Grow your lashes using coconut and lavender oil.
Mix half a teaspoon of coconut oil with a few drops of lavender essential oil. Apply gently to your lashes using a cotton pad or a Q-tip, covering from root to tip. Use this remedy three times a week and your eyelashes will start to get thicker and longer.
