17 Photos That Are So Perfectly Timed, You Just Have To Look Twice

One of the most important aspects of photography is timing. Sometimes a great photo can take hours of patience, and at other times, a great photo can happen almost by accident. In either case, the timing of the shot is often what separates an ordinary picture from something truly stunning. Check out these examples to see what I mean.

1. Trapped in a bubble.

"Help me please, I am just a doggo, I cannot float away to outer space."

2. A metamorphosis.

It's almost symbolic of how youth is fleeting, as ephemeral as the flap of a butterfly's wings.

3. Santa's reindeer looks a little different...

Sure, Spot isn't as famous as the other reindeer, but guess who Santa trusts with his slippers every morning?

4. Caught snacking.

Mmmm, that looks like a seriously delicious snack, and it's almost as big as his head!

5. Mighty Mouse!

This mouse is on the ultimate mission, and he's flying into action.

6. A "ghost ship" peeks out of the San Francisco fog.

Let me tell you, the fog in San Francisco is absolutely no joke.

7. Hey man, owls get married too.

Looks like Hedwig from Harry Potter is getting married! He found love (and a human body, apparently).

8. View of Times Square.

This is an absolutely spectacular shot. Even on a cloudy day, Times Square shines bright.

9. Dragonfly: Reality vs Tattoo.

What are the odds I ask you? What are the odds?

10. Supermoon seen in Dubai.

It's almost as if the moon is being held up on a little stand.

11. A truly fiery beauty.

Yep, she's definitely pretty hot. You might even say she's smokin'.

12. What a flock.

Faster than a speeding bullet, it's the one and only Super Gull.

13. What long arms you have.

What's this guy's job? Community Outreach.

14. Uh oh...

If you weren't afraid of roller coasters already, you might be after this.

15. That's quite a sail.

Wow, I wonder if it took the photographer several tries to do this or if it was just a lucky shot.

16. This cloud looks like a dragon.

Seeing stuff like this makes you start to understand how ancient peoples might have started to create legends about dragons in the sky.

17. Now that's timing!

Less than one second later, every single person in that photo was soaked.
