A Police Officer's Body Camera Captures His Heroic Rescue Of A Little Boy From A Burning Home

On January 1, 2015, Griffin, Georgia police officers began wearing body cameras at all times. This feature caused the heroic actions of one officer to be recorded and he has been receiving national attention since. Sergeant Jo Hudson, from the Griffin Police Department, was the first person to respond to the scene at a residence where a kitchen fire was reported. Upon arrival, a frantic woman explained a 3-year-old was in the home. Without hesitation, the officer charged into the building to find the young Ray Ray. The video tells the story of his difficulty finding him, but the heroic efforts were praised by the boy's grandmother with a kiss. The firefighters arrived on scene just as Hudson brought the young boy out in his arms.
