A Sweet Baby Boy Helps Out By Doing The Dishes
Jun 19, 2015
Many parents avoid assigning chores because the struggle seems to outweigh the benefits. The difficulty in getting kids to do their assignments at all, much less properly, and kids needing to just be kids are often cited as reasons to avoid chores.
However, research has shown that children with chores have higher self-esteem, are more responsible and better able to deal with frustration and delayed gratification. These are all contributors to success in school, as well as life. Chores also help to expand a child's ability to do things for themselves, rather than relying on their parents.
This baby sure knows his way around the sink. While it's adorable and funny to watch, there are also some pretty important reasons for children to have chores.
