Since first being discovered, Angelina Jordan has become renowned around the world for her incredible singing talent. Currently 10 years old, she quickly went from singing songs in her living room to performing them on television in front of crowds of thousands.
Born and raised in Norway, the aspiring singer first got her big break when she was a contestant on "Norway's Got Talent." Since then, videos of her singing "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Gloomy Sunday" have gone viral on YouTube. She had always taken a liking to more classic genres, including jazz, big band, and swing, which was in stark contrast with what most children her age typically listen to. Her musical tastes certainly make her stand out of a crowd, but her voice perfectly complements it.
This unique combination of talent and lyrical style has made her into a star before she has even reached her teens. She has performed on multiple Norwegian television programs, but her success is also making her popular overseas. After winning the 2014 season of "Norway's Got Talent," she was featured in both Time and People Magazine. She was even asked to perform on ABC's "The View" in front of Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace when she was only 8 years old. When Rosie asked how long she had been singing for, Angelina replied, "I was very young, I was about one and a half."
Seen in this video performing the classing song "Summertime," it isn't hard to see what makes her so special. Similar to great artists like Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, a voice like hers comes only once in a lifetime. It's hard to believe that a talent this big resides in such a young girl.
