One of the most popular meals just about anywhere is some simple pasta with a tomato sauce. Most people are probably familiar with the traditional marinara sauce that's been a staple of every Italian grandma's Sunday dinners.
Speaking as a self-described foodie, I can tell you that these are almost always delicious beyond belief but they also take hours of simmering and stirring to achieve. What a lot of people aren't as aware of (myself included) is that you can actually skip all the cooking altogether and make a beautiful, fresh, delicious tomato sauce that requires absolutely zero cooking (other than whatever pasta you're serving it with).
In this video, Food & Wine's Justin Chapple shows how to do just that, but with an even more clever twist. While many other raw sauce recipes call for dicing and peeling tomatoes, this one lets you just take the tomatoes to a grater, eliminating the need to peel or dice while giving a "saucier" result.
