Baby Sloths Are Having Way Too Much Fun Climbing This Jungle Gym
Jun 11, 2015
The sanctuary hosts both two-toed and three-toed sloths and has become world renowned as one of the best animal preserves on the planet. The entire program is funded by donations and proceeds from tours of the facility, which means your visit to The Sloth Sanctuary will allow you to play with adorable sloths while also helping to save the species.
Biologists say that sloths can sleep up to 20 hours per day, and these baby two-toed sloths from Costa Rica are making sure those other four hours don't go to waste. The footage was captured at The Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica, located right on the Caribbean coastline. The Sloth Sanctuary, one of the only of its kind in the world, is a unique destination with a very important mission. Since 1992, The Sloth Sanctuary has been dedicated to rescuing, researching and rehabilitating sloths with the goal of releasing them back into the wild.
