You might be thinking that tie-dyed fabrics are something that got left in the ‘60s but you’d be pretty well mistaken. Tie dyes are a perennial favorite and constantly coming back in one form or another. Kids especially love the easy but interesting process behind the dying technique, which results in bold, abstract patterns of all kinds.
Nearly everyone has gotten into the fun of tie-dying at one point or another. You might have decades ago, years ago, or yesterday. You’ve definitely had plenty of fun bundling up some fabric and dunking it in your preferred dye liquid.
No judgment if you’re still rocking that hippie look! We can dig it. But even if you’re a buttoned-up square from squaresville, that’s no reason your kids can’t enjoy the thrill of creating their own, unique textile designs. It’s like cutting out paper snowflakes, but something you can get into all year-round!
