Hollie has a security camera set up in her garage in case burglars or mischievous teenagers happen to break in. When she became aware of an unwelcomed visitor, she took a look to see what he was up to, expecting to catch a neighborhood kid stealing. Instead, she caught an unlikely intruder with the most adorable motive.
After noticing a boy she’d never seen before running from her garage, she checked the camera footage to find out what was going on. Upon viewing, she realized that he had no intention of stealing or vandalizing anything, but just wanted to give her dog, Duchess, a hug. Hollie posted the footage on Facebook in hopes of discovering his identity. Within 24 hours, she had her answer.
As soon as Hollie found out who he was, she wanted to let him know that he was always welcome to come by and spend time with Duchess. Since then, this story has gone viral, and the little dog lover and Duchess are best friends, soaking up the spotlight together.
Hollie thought something suspicious was happening when she saw a boy running out of her garage and speeding away on his bike.
After reviewing the security footage, she realized it was just a little boy who wanted to give her dog, Duchess, a hug!
The post made its way to the boy's mother, Ginger Breaux, who confirmed to Hollie that it was her son, Josh.
“Last night, when I first saw it, I was torn as a momma,” she said, “being happy and upset because he knows he shouldn’t be on someone’s property, but I wake up this morning more happy that he just absolutely adores dogs so much.”
Ginger says she plans on getting Josh a dog one day, but, for now, Hollie has given him permission to spend plenty of time with Duchess. As you can see from these pictures, they've become close friends.
