Breathtaking View Of Japan's Incredible Floating Castle

Feb 2, 2015
Japan is a place of many wonders and this beautiful location is no exception. Built on a mountaintop in 1441, The Takeda Castle, also known as the "floating castle," is one of a hundred famous landmarks in Japan that is increasing in popularity among tourists.

After being built in the 15th century, being overtaken during wars and abandoned, the beautifully constructed castle turned to ruins. Though the castle is worn down and is often said to be closed for repairs, there are still many tourists that wander through in complete bewilderment.

The truly amazing thing about this castle is that it is completely encased by clouds, giving the appearance of actually floating in the sky.
