The Internet has been obsessed with brainteasers lately. First, everyone rushed to find the panda. Then, there was the four-leaf clover in a field of pigs, and the tree with many faces. After solving all of those popular puzzles, do you think you can handle one more?
This one, entitled "The Monty Hall Problem," is a little bit different. Versions of it have been around since the 1800s, but it was popularized by the game show “Let's Make A Deal” in the 1970s. The premise is deceptively simple, but one woman insisted she knew a way to play it that would double your odds of winning. The history of "The Monty Hall Problem" has it all: high IQs, angry mathematicians, huge egos, flashy cars and goats. That's right ... goats. We recommend pausing the video and trying to solve the problem yourself before learning the answer.
