Can't Sleep? Try Dancing!

Jun 2, 2016 By Jake Brannon

It's the middle of the night and you can't fall asleep. You want to go to bed, and you know you've got to wake up early the next morning, but, for whatever reason, you can't seem to find your body's "off" switch. We've all been there at least once in our lives, and everyone has their own unique method for dealing with these sudden bouts of sleeplessness.

Maybe you prefer a classic session of "counting sheep," or perhaps you're more into doctor-recommended breathing methods. When this mother and son found themselves unable to catch some Zs late at night, they took a rather unorthodox approach to winding down. Instead of sipping on a nice mug of chamomile tea or snuggling up with their favorite pillows, these two stepped into the kitchen for an impromptu dance party!

Moving to the beat of Meghan Trainor's "Dear Future Husband," this duo put on such an awesome show that the other members of the family couldn't help but come watch. Dancing might seem like a strange way to help yourself fall asleep, but some studies have actually found that exercise helps fight chronic insomnia. So, the next time you find yourself unable to drift off to sleep, turn up your stereo and get jiggy with it.

Don't forget to SHARE this fun dance with your friends and family!
