Fall is in full swing, which means that in most parts of the country people are dealing with clearing their yards of all the fallen leaves. Raking leaves has long been a tradition passed down from father to son (in the sense that once he had kids, my dad let us do the raking). It's also an activity that hasn't really changed much in the last century or so.
The humble rake isn't too bad at clearing leaves, but let's face it - it's not the most efficient. That's why man invented things like leaf blowers, but those can be expensive. Luckily, Brian Shreves has the perfect solution - a large sheet of cardboard! Using it in a way similar to a snow plow, he effortlessly pushes large swaths of leaves in no time flat! I'm definitely taking this approach next time I have to clear the leaves.
