Check Out The Complicated Process Of Building An Airplane
Jan 22, 2015
As you might expect, designing and building a commercial airplane is a complicated and lengthy process. In the case of Airbus, over 4,000 engineers take part in over seven years of the design process. Once designed, over 2.65 million parts have to be manufactured and assembled, prototypes built and every part and system extensively tested. Once the plane is in actual production, Airbus can produce a complete aircraft in just two days.
Henry Reich, from YouTube channel MinutePhysics, wanted to find out how modern commercial aircrafts were made. So, he hopped on a plane, of course, to France and visited the Research and Design facilities of Airbus. While there, he discovered how Airbus' newest airplane design, the A350, was developed.
