Adam Tran, also known as Tran Trung Hieu, is a Vietnamese origami artist known for creating exquisite works of paper art. Using textured paper and intricate folds, Tran creates figures that appear as perfect as museum exhibits, with subjects like dinosaur fossils and insects. As a member of the Vietnam Origami Group (VOG), Tran has contributed to the group's two books, "50 Hours of Origami+" and "VOG 2."
According to the Origami Resource Center, the history of the art is under debate. Since paper deteriorates quickly, it is difficult to pinpoint when origami was invented and by whom. It is often said that the origin of paper comes from China in 105 A.D., but there is new evidence that this may have occurred earlier. If there is paper, there is the possibility that it may have been folded, but regardless of the year, this is an art form that originated in Asia.
