Nobody ever forgets their first car. They’re usually not glamorous, as they mostly function to get us from point A to B. However, first cars will always have a special place in our hearts for giving us the comfort and freedom that public transportation and walking simply cannot.
For Luke Merrill of Minnesota, this 1965 Chevy C-10 half-ton pickup truck couldn’t mean more to him. His dad had given it to him as a present when he graduated high school, but the vehicle was also special in another way: this old Chevy had been part of the family for over 20 years. When it was time for it to be passed down to the next generation, Luke's father only expected it to be used as a beater. However, Luke had other plans in mind. To everyone's surprise, Luke ended up completely restoring the truck.
