Comedian Jack Black Spends A Very Serious Day With A Homeless Ugandan Boy
Jun 8, 2015
The tradition started in the U.K. in 1988 as a huge fundraiser held by Comic Relief, a charity started by two comedians. Red Nose Day is now almost a national holiday in the U.K., with many schools even allowing students to ditch their uniforms for red outfits. The highlight of the biennial fundraiser is a live telethon with plenty of entertainment.
This year, Red Nose Day finally made its way to the U.S., held on May 21, 2015. All funds raised during the day support poverty-focused charities, both domestic and abroad.
Jack Black is seen in Uganda, in support of Red Nose Day, to raise money and awareness for impoverished communities. So, what exactly is Red Nose Day?
