Cristiano Ronaldo Defends His Young, Nervous Interviewer From The Critical Audience

May 9, 2015 By Archit Tripathi
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently one of the most talented soccer players in the world. He's got a record 76 all-time Champions League goals to his name, as well as multiple FIFA Golden Ball (Ballon D'Or) awards. While he sometimes comes under criticism for being arrogant and selfish on the field (he once refused to celebrate a teammate's goal because he didn't score it), he is clearly a gentleman off the field.

We've previously featured a video of Ronaldo giving his game jersey and shoes to a young fan he accidentally hit with a free kick, and now he's coming to the rescue of a Japanese boy who attempts to clumsily speak to the star in his native Portuguese. Although the boy's Portuguese isn't great, Ronaldo jumps to his defense when the crowd starts to laugh. Speaking other languages can be hard sometimes, but as Ronaldo showed, it's all good as long as you try your best.
