Literally anyone who has ever had a baby can tell you that raising an infant is really hard work. Babies have no self-control, and they do everything on their own schedule. It doesn't matter where they are or what their parents may be doing. If they feel like crying or pooping, they will. Sometimes, cranky babies never seem to calm down, even after 20 years....
Just ask Lucy Hatami.
Lucy and her baby were out for breakfast recently when a bratty 20-something-year-old man decided to be incredibly rude to her with regards to her baby's crying. Thankfully, another parent quickly came to the rescue, and Lucy posted the incident to Facebook, where it went viral.
The post reads:
That moment when your in a restaurant trying to have breakfast whilst your 8month old son is crying and a boy (early 20s) tuts muttering "I wish she'd shut that thing up!"..... Before I could even respond his dad comes up behind him clips him round the ear and says "what and you think you were perfect? You were a right little sod. No stop being a brat, go up there and apologise to her and offer to get her breakfast as she clearly has her hands full!" So I got my buffet breakfast with waiter service along with a lovely coffee... thank you to that dad who even after 20 odd years still remembers the difficulty of being parents to babies!
Thanks to that dad, Lucy and her whole family found a reason to smile.
I think the father couldn't have handled the situation any better. It's only natural that his awesome response to his son went viral. A parent's work is never done, even when their kids are grown up - if a parent sees their kids doing something wrong, you better believe they're gonna speak up!
"I honestly wasn't thinking it would go as viral as it has," said Lucy. "I was just writing a [Facebook] status about the bizarre encounter I had."
Remember to SHARE this dad's perfect response with your family and friends.
