Daddy/Daughter Duo Covers "Take On Me"

May 27, 2016 By Olivia Cathcart

There’s nothing like a duet. Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie had the world falling over with their “Endless Love,” and “Ebony and Ivory” has never sounded better than when sung by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. Although finding the right partner is no simple task. You have to find the special person who gels with you, like a dear friend, or maybe, your children.

Musically gifted father Matt Silverman found his partner in crime in his toddler, Amelia. Watch as the two belt it out to a-ha’s classic ‘80’s jam, “Take On Me.” In this all acoustic, and all adorable, rendition, Matt and Amelia rock out on guitar, bongos, and xylophone. While Amelia’s mallet play is a little suspect, father Matt assures that her signing is 100% real.

This isn’t the dynamic duo’s first collaboration. The two previously harmonized on a cover of Walk the Moon’s 2016 hit, “Shut Up and Dance.” Matt’s voice is truly stunning, but what’s impressive is his amazing parenting. It’s wonderful to see a dad spend time with his kids and introduce them to different music and arts. Can’t wait to see these two sing in a few years when Amelia grows into her headphones.

Be sure to SHARE this cute duet with your friends and family.
