Dog Shows His Loyalty To His Deceased Owner In The Most Heartfelt Way

Bhaskar Shiri was a construction worker from Chennai, India, who adopted Tommy the dog five years ago. The both of them were very close companions and often went to work at the construction site together. Bhakshar was only 18-years-old when he passed away in a car accident, but that didn’t stop Tommy from showing his loyalty to his owner. Bhakshar’s mother assumed the dog had found a new family when she noticed he was missing, but that was only half the story.

Animal rescue officer Dawn Williams, who is a member of the Blue Cross of India, walked past Bhaskar's grave shortly after his passing and saw Tommy waiting there. She didn't think much of it at the time.

Dawn walked by again a few weeks later, and saw Tommy still waiting by his owner's grave. It was apparent that Tommy hadn't left Bhaskar's side.

She could clearly see he had gone without food and water in order to stay by his owner’s side. He was in poor condition so Dawn fed him. She also said that there were tears in his eyes.

After talking with locals in the area who knew Tommy, she discovered his identity and went in search of Bhaskar's mother.

As soon as Dawn notified Bhaskar's mother of Tommy's whereabouts, she went over to see him. Tommy's sadness disappeared when he saw his owner's mother, so he began jumping and licking her face. She too was cheered up by their reunion, so she told Dawn that she was going keep Tommy as a happy reminder of her deceased son.
