Judging from this adorable video, it seems our canine companions want to be just like us. You may be surprised to find out that this is somewhat true. Dogs have a tendency to emulate us, even when the actions aren't in their best interest.
In a recent study, researchers found that dogs involuntarily mimic some recurrent human body movements. One stunning study instructed people to open a sliding door in front of a dog. Next, they used a different set of people to demonstrate opening the door on all fours using their heads.
The catch was that the dogs were given a treat for opening the door with their heads. Surprisingly, the dogs were more inclined to use their paws, despite the treats.
