Easy DIY Tire Planters For Your Garden

It's almost summer, which means the kids are about to be out of school and parents scrambling to keep them entertained. Sure, you can send your children to summer camp for a week or two, but making sure they have plenty of things to keep them stimulated at home is vital. Ideally, you should have a combination of activities that they can do by themselves as well as with the rest of the family. After all, everyone needs some time alone.

As for something that the whole family can do together, you can't get much better than these DIY tire planters. Old tires are easy to come by and, with a little TLC, they can be transformed into lovely planters for your garden. Simply grab three tires and cover them with a base coat of white paint. Once you've allowed it to dry, stack all three tires on top of each other and invite the whole family to paint on them. As the gardener in this video points out, you don't have to be a talented artist to participate - it's more about doing something fun and creative with those around you.

Once you've finished painting, fill the tires with soil and plant away! Don't have three tires? Don't worry! Even one tire will provide you with ample space to plant some nice flowers for you and your family to enjoy.
