The jury is in: it's not summer time until we're eating juicy corn. Corn is an addicting, delicious vegetable, but it also takes a bit of work. If you purchase it from a farmer's market or grocery store it's going to come still wrapped in a husk with silk covering those golden niblets. It's worth the effort, but disposing of these unwanted parts can take some time. Put the frozen stuff away, here's an amazing tip to cleaning up that corn. The best part is, all you need is a microwave. Watch the video below for this awesome trick.
Isn't that amazing? Here's the basics:
- Starting from the end of a stalk, cut off 1 inch of the corn.
- Microwave on high for 2 to 4 minutes.
- From the uncut end, shake and squeeze the corn until it pops out of the husk.
And all we needed was a microwave. Have you ever done this? Do you think it's a faster method?
