Imagine you've just found out that one of your close friends or co-workers did something remarkable. Perhaps they fought in a war or saved someone's life. Maybe they were an accomplished artist or a brilliant mathematician. If this were the case, wouldn't you be rushing to ask them questions? Someone who's been through that much would surely have a great deal of wisdom to pass on. Believe it or not, this is the case with our community's senior citizens, but, unfortunately, many still choose to ignore them.
“Wish of a Lifetime,” a non-profit dedicated to changing the way society views the elderly, has released a powerful PSA in which older generations share their testimonies on note cards. It's a powerful reminder of the wealth of knowledge members of our community carry around every day.
