Every day, people abandon their pets. Each year, millions of dogs and cats end up in a humane shelter, but of those millions, only a small percentage are actually brought in directly by the owner. Stray animals are usually found wandering around or just left somewhere, neglected and afraid. Occasionally they get lucky and get adopted by someone, changing their whole lives in an instant.
This video is a short film by a student at Riverside Christian College in Australia. Although it seems to be a fictional account, it still had me sitting here with a lump in my throat about the same size as the tennis ball that the dog plays with. It gives a view of the dog's version of events and how grateful he is for having been found and given a chance at life, one filled with love and happiness.
