Foundation Finds A Way To Make YouTube Advertising Work To Its Benefit

Jun 14, 2015 By Christi Mulligan

The Arrels Foundation is an entity in Barcelona, Spain that has focused on ending homelessness in the city since 1987. They believe in a "staircase" model, which essentially is a philosophy where homeless people need to move "through the phases" to reach a stable living environment. So a person would need to establish roots in temporary housing first, and then, eventually, they could find long-term housing. Support is provided to the individuals at each step of their journey. Each time this video is shared and watched by a new viewer beyond the 30-second mark, the Arrels Foundation makes money from the companies that advertise along the edges of the page.
