Currently, North Bayshore has 2.5 million square feet of real estate available for development. Google's plans would use up all of that area. While other companies are also vying for the space, Google's plans include various public benefits such as low-cost housing and high-traffic commercial spaces.
Tech giant Google has never been known to shy away from breaking the mold and doing things its own way. Google offices are already famous for being unlike any traditional office space, but now it's trying to go a step further. As this video explains, up to now Google has modified traditional buildings to suit its needs. Now that it's one of the biggest companies in the world, Google wants to reimagine buildings altogether.
