100 Voices of Gospel is a choir group consisting of a hundred of the best choir singers from around the world. They’ve sold more than 200,000 albums and performed in several countries in Europe including France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Spain. In their most recent performance, the group put on a show for the judges of Britain's Got Talent. Alesha and Simon were immediately taken aback when the lead singer started singing, but things took an even more exciting turn when the backup singers joined in halfway through the show.
Their performance represents everything that gospel music is about - people from all walks of life having a good time and enjoying each other’s company. Although the main singer was an American woman, the rest of the musicians represented almost every continent in the world. At one point Simon jokingly asked if there was a British person in the choir, to which one person at the back raised his hands in confirmation. It just goes to show how music can bring people together in more ways than one. The audience members were equally excited by the performance, and from their reaction, it's clear that gospel music is a genre of music that people can enjoy regardless of their faith.
If you ever get a chance to see 100 Voices of Gospel in person, you should definitely seize the opportunity to do so. Each show they perform is different, so you never really know what to expect. It’s definitely far from the regular choir performances you heard in your local church.
Be sure to SHARE this amazing performance with your family and friends.
