In 2014, a Belgian bus driver named Alexander was offered a rare opportunity by Thomas Cook Airlines to marry his girlfriend, Marieke. The only catch? The wedding would occur mid-flight at 30,000 feet above ground. Although it was definitely a little odd, Alexander decided to go for it because as The Beatles said "All you need is love."
Thomas Cook arranged for Marieke to think that her and her sister had randomly won a "Girls Only" trip, but what she didn't know was that Alexander and 40 friends and family would all be on board as well. After he proposes, everyone pitches in to help out and decorate the cabin for the occasion and the happy couple gets into their wedding clothes for a truly one-of-a-kind ceremony.
