Hero Bus Driver Stops A Kidnapping In Progress
Jun 13, 2015
While we teach our children to beware of strangers, the statistics show that kids are far more likely to be kidnapped by family members or others they know well. The last comprehensive national study estimated that only 115 child kidnapping cases (out of many thousands) involved a stranger or acquaintance.
According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the first three hours after a kidnapping are critical. The numbers indicate that, while few abducted children are murdered, most kidnappers who kill do so within this time frame.
This bus driver is, without a doubt, a hero. While most people go through the day minding their own business, his willingness to intervene probably saved the life of this young boy.
