High School Football Player Gets An Assist From Ref's Head

Sep 24, 2015 By John-Michael Bond
There are moments in every athlete's life that will be permanently burned into their memories forever. Say winning a big game or a brilliant last minute play. When Midland Lee High School kicker Luis Aranda lined up for an extra-point on September 18th, 2015 he thought it was going to be just another kick. He had no way of knowing he would only score thanks to an assist from an unlikely source.

That unlikely source? The head of the ref. Watch as the ball flies through the air, bounces off the ref's head, and between the goal posts to score. The crowd understandably loses its mind. We have no word on how the ref feels about this development.
