How 2 Strangers Helped A Man Keep His Wife's Memory Alive
Feb 12, 2015
Two park employees took notice of Bud's daily visits to the same bench. One morning, they realized Bud had been sitting in his car, unable to walk through the snow in the park. Moved by his dedication to his late wife, the two employees cleared the walkways and promised to ensure that Bud can reach his wife through the entire winter.
In Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, 82-year-old Bud Caldwell lost his wife Betty in 2013 and bought a park bench in her honor. Each day he visits the bench to chat with her and leaves the same two gifts based on their two favorite songs. Unfortunately, heavy snow a few weeks ago covered the path to the bench and prevented him from paying her the daily visit.
