Incredible 3D-Printed Blooming Sculptures
Jan 16, 2015
John Edmark, an adjunct professor in the design program in the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University, has designed and developed a variety of items ranging from visually pleasing sculptures to useful kitchen tools. Inspired by the natural occurrence of the Fibonacci sequence, Edmark designed these 3-D sculptures that appear to come to life and seem to almost come off the screen. In order to record the sculptures and truly make them seem alive, the sculptures are spun while shining a strobe light on them.
