Eggshells are pretty much synonymous with the word delicate. Just think of the phrase, “walking on eggshells.” Still, in the right hands, the thin, brittle eggshell can be used in all sort of ways. Franc Grom takes this idea to the next level with his lace-patterned eggs. Based on traditional Slovenian patterns, each egg requires several thousand holes to be carefully drilled into the eggs using small electric tools.
We think the results are incredible. They certainly make the common Easter egg pale in comparison, especially when he shines a light inside the egg and shows just how gorgeous they truly are.
