Italian Artist Creates Mesmerizing Stop-Motion Short Film

Aug 13, 2015 By Houston Barber
Donato Sansone is an Italian artist who has quite the talent for creating memorable short films. This piece, created using only pencil, paper and a ton of photographs, was featured in a 2012 commercial for an Italian bank. According to his website, Donato specializes in "mixing traditional and experimental animation techniques with live action."

Hand drawn animation is considered by many to be an obsolete art form. In 2013, Disney completely shut down their 2D animation department. Thankfully, there's still people like Donato around who are dedicated to keeping the beautiful art form alive.
