Make Sugar-Free Homemade Neapolitan Ice Cream At Home

It's hot outside which means it's the perfect time to enjoy a cool treat. Store-bought ice cream is good and all, but homemade absolutely blows it out of the water. It might sound tricky, but making your own ice cream really isn't too difficult. This recipe for Neapolitan ice cream isn't just easy and tasty, it's way better for you than normal ice cream. It contains no sugar, no dairy, and has fewer calories than anything you can get at the store. I'll take two scoops.

Ingredients for Homemade Neapolitan Ice Cream

  • 8 peeled bananas
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp. virgin coconut oil
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

For the vanilla banana ice cream - cut 3 of the bananas into chunks and freeze them overnight or until very solid. Process the chunks and the vanilla in a food processor until creamy, scraping down the sides and breaking up clumps as necessary. Transfer to a bowl and return to freezer.

For the chocolate banana ice cream - cut 3 of the bananas into chunks and freeze them overnight or until very solid. Process the chunks, the cocoa powder, and the coconut oil in a food processor until creamy, scraping down the sides and breaking up clumps as necessary. Transfer to a bowl and return to freezer.

For the strawberry banana ice cream - cut 2 of the bananas into chunks and freeze them overnight or until very solid. Process the chunks and strawberries in a food processor until creamy, scraping down the sides and breaking up clumps as necessary. Transfer to a bowl and return to freezer.

To serve, spoon out each of the flavors onto a 8x5 loaf pan so each flavor fills 1/3 the length of the pan. Serve immediately for keep frozen.
