When Cincinnati-based dancer Noster takes on robot-painted street performer Eclipse in a spontaneous mall dance-off, it's a crowd pleaser! Although largely unknown to many of us, competitive dancing is a fascinating and incredibly physically demanding world. There are approximately 200 competitive dance companies in North America and performers compete at a regional, state and national level. Eclipse is part of the Millennium Robots, a creative dance group that specializes in “isolated” dance style movements while dressed head to toe in silver. One of the most well-known isolated dance styles is the famous "pop and lock" style that defined the 1980s.
