I love to cook and because my wife works late, I’m generally happy to take on the task of cooking on weeknights. Although I'm happy as a pig in a mud puddle when I'm cooking, I'm still all ears when someone has a tip that might save me some time or - even more importantly - save me some cleanup. Doing dishes is definitely my least favorite part of being in the kitchen, but it's a necessary evil (I refuse to eat off a dirty plate. I am not an animal).
One of my go-to meals to make during the week is some kind of pasta. Pasta is relatively cheap, quick and easy to make (unless you're doing some hardcore Italian nonna recipes) and it's also quite filling. The one downside I've always had with pasta though is that I always need to use two pots - one to make my sauce and another to boil the pasta. Granted, I usually end up with one pot after I toss the cooked pasta into the sauce and then wash the first one, but what if there was a way to do it all in one?
Thankfully, Martha Stewart is here to save the day. In this video, she demonstrates an easy recipe that makes a pasta dinner for 2-3 people (depending on how hungry they are), all in a single large pan! She uses just enough water for her pasta to fully absorb, so there's nothing to drain at the end. Top it off with a little fresh parmesan and olive oil and you're good to go!
