Meet The NYC Dog Who Stands On The Corner Giving Hugs To Strangers

Meet the one-and-only Louboutina, a.k.a. Loubie, a five-year-old golden retriever from New York City who is becoming famous all over the world for giving the best doggie hugs. The dog, who is named after famous French designer Christian Louboutin, likes to stand on the streets of N.Y.C. with her owner, Cesar, ready to give out hugs to anyone who wants one!

Here's what a day in Loubie's life looks like...

Loubie and her owner Cesar, a Spanish translator for a local hospital, live in New York City.

When he was around three-and-a-half years old, Loubie started holding out his hands with Cesar. That eventually morphed into a full-on hug.

Now she gives hugs to anyone who walks by.

As you can see, she makes friends pretty much everywhere she goes.

Any stereotypes about New Yorkers being cold and in a rush go out the window when Loubie's around.

She's always on the lookout for someone new to hug, and in a big city like New York, there are plenty of willing participants.

She loves to stand on the corner of 5th and 17th street - her "stage," as Cesar calls it.

She's a friend to all, human or canine.

The world is crazy these days, but we're so glad Loubie's out there spreading smiles one doggie hug at a time!
