More Than 500 Light-Years Away, Scientists May Have Finally Discovered A New Earth

It sounds like something out of science fiction, but it's very real: NASA has discovered a possible Earth twin. Labeled “Kepler-186f,” this Earth-like planet shows many similarities to our own, including the possibility of life.

The Kepler-186 system has 4 other planets orbiting a central star, so, in theory, if that star is similar to ours, the potential for life increases. Kepler-186f makes a full orbit every 130 days, which means its years go by nearly 3 times as fast as ours.

What do you think? Will we find other life in the Milky Way?
