The World's Oldest Street Artist Is Bombing The Streets With Yarn
Last week, the Scottish town of Selkirk was targeted by a street art group called the Souter Stormers. Instead of covering the streets in graffiti like most street artists, the Stormers took a softer approach. Residents of Selkirk awoke to find local landmarks covered from top to bottom in elaborate yarn decorations.
Among the group of secret knitters was Grace Brett, a 104-year-old woman who was happy to contribute her talents to the cause. When asked in an interview about her involvement in the delightful work of art, Brett said, "It's very nice of you to take any notice of it." Even at 104, Grace is still grateful for people taking the time to appreciate the art that brings her so much joy to create.
