One-Man Band Plays 8 Instruments To Create The Perfect Bob Marley Cover
May 12, 2015
Born in Manitoba, Canada, Onotero spent years "honing his discipline under the study of the country's most powerful musical senseis." He is a multi-instrumentalist who claims to be able to play just about anything that makes noise, but his most notable instrument is probably the Japanese shamisen, a traditional three-stringed instrument somewhat akin to a banjo.
How's this for a one-man band? Steve-san Onotera, better known as samuraiguitarist on YouTube, recently recorded this video of him playing "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley. He is seen simultaneously playing three ukuleles, a snare drum, a tambourine, an organ, a bass and a harmonica. According to Onotera, "Making this was by far the hardest thing I have ever done musically. My brain hurts."
