Pandas have long been known to be an endangered species. Despite the fact that pandas have a lack of natural predators, the WWF (World Wildlife Federation) estimates about 1,600 of them are left on the planet. The major threat to their existence happens to be humans. In the Chinese language, pandas are called "Da Xiong Mao", which translates to "giant bear cat". They are gentle creatures who don't possess the same aggression as most of the bear family. They once populated a large part of Northern Vietnam and the eastern parts of China. Now, only a small number can be found in China. This video shows a zoo caretaker forming a bond with two pandas, and shows off their gentle and playful nature.
