Starting over after the dissolution of a marriage is always complicated, but when children are involved it becomes more difficult. Old partners move on, and when someone new enters their life that person also enters your child’s life. While parents and stepparents often have friendly relationships, the dynamic of someone else helping raise your child is difficult for many people.
