Kids Are Surprised With A New Puppy

Many of us have cherished memories of our pets while growing up. Many parents often want their kids to grown up around animals so that they have a loyal companion, but there are many other benefits to having pets around children. According to a study in the Journal of Pediatrics, kids that grow up with a dog during the first year of their lives have a 31% decreased rate of respiratory tract infections. In general, kids who grow up around animals have a much stronger immune response.

A lot of kids that didn't grow up with pets often fantasized about having a pet of their own. Who could blame them? Sure it's a lot of work, but the companionship and loving bond makes it all worth it. As you can see in this video, animals have a way of putting a smile on any kid's face.
