We all love our pets, but their shedding? That's another story. With two dogs and a cat living in my house, I admitted defeat to the pet hair battle a long time ago. Sure, I like to keep things clean, but even after spending hours vacuuming, dusting and doing laundry, it only takes a little while for the hair to come back. Regular bathing and brushing goes a long way, but at the end of the day, there's always going to be pet hair.
At least, that's what I thought, until I saw these tips from Melissa Maker of Clean My Space. As she explains, one of the biggest challenges with pet hair is that cleaning often stirs it up even more. How many times have you finished vacuuming, only to look around and see hair and dust particles slowly settling back onto the floor? While Melissa's solution adds an extra step to your daily routine, it's well worth the reward.
However, clean floors and furniture aren't the only problems when it comes to pet hair. Clothes also suffer, and there's no worse feeling than taking a fresh load out of the dryer only to find that your items are still covered in hair. Often, hair weaves into the fabric of our clothes, making them itchy, unsightly and more prone to wear and tear. If you're feeling tempted to shave your dog right about now, be sure to check out the tip in this video. I never would have expected my dryer to be the key to this simple solution.
