Unfortunately for the pups, pit bulls often get a bad rap. Stories often hit the news about aggressive or dangerous member of the breed. Sadly, there are also many stories of abuse, too. For decades, pit bulls had a reputation as loyal family pets; then, their athletic build and tenacity attracted the attention of people who wanted to use dogs for nefarious purposes.
As with any other dog, pit bulls need good, consistent training, care and socialization. Early interaction with people and other dogs is key, especially in controlled, positive situations. General obedience training is just as effective with pit bulls as it is with any other dog; just like people, dogs need to know their manners ... I'd say these six pits clearly do!
