Poland Just Unveiled A Glow-In-The-Dark Bicycle Path That's Charged By Sunlight

Cycling is one of the greenest ways to get around, and now this solar-powered bike path is making it even better.

This beautiful, glow-in-the-dark blue cycling lane is located near Lidzbark Warminski in the north of Poland. It was created by TPA Instytut BadaÅ„ Technicznych Sp. z o.o., who were inspired by Studio Roosegaarde's "Starry Night" bike path in the Netherlands. Whereas the Dutch version uses LED lights, the Polish bike path utilizes a synthetic material which is charged by sunlight and emits light for up to ten hours after being charged. The material (and bike path) are still in testing currently, but, hopefully, we can start seeing bike lanes like this stateside soon!

Be sure to SHARE this great idea with your friends and family.
