Parkinson's disease is one of the most debilitating conditions a person can go through. Being a degenerative disease of the central nervous system, patients slowly start to lose motor function before it starts to inflict damage on the functionality of organs. However, recent decades have seen much improvement in the way we treat Parkinson's. Though there is no cure, the millions of Americans that suffer from it each year are living longer lives with a much higher quality of living – and for a longer amount of time. Someone who suffers from the disease can function close to normal for years after being diagnosed.
Being able to function is one thing, but Parkinson's never makes things easy. Seeing someone that is having trouble, the police officer in the video knows exactly what to do.
